The presentation will show how modern design techniques in electromagnetics and stress analysis and the application of new materials can be used to continue to develop a novel design through the use of computer aided design and the application of new materials. It will illustrate the thought and design effort that needs to be put into using any materials in new applications. Not everything can be done theoretically and practical checks are made that the material can survive in the environment and will give the improvements expected.
